1) Who we are (Controller)

NightShift (the “App”) helps you discover events and plan your night. For privacy questions or requests, contact: info.nightshiftapp@gmail.com.

2) What data we process

• On device preferences (e.g., selected filters, UI settings). Stored locally on your device; not transmitted to us.
• Calendar access (optional): When you choose “Add to Calendar,” the App creates an event in your device’s native calendar using details you confirm. We do not receive or store your calendar data.
• Maps linking (optional): Tapping “Open in Maps” opens Apple or Google Maps via deep link. Any location processing occurs under those services’ policies.
• Share links (optional): If you share an event, the App generates a link/deep link. We do not track who opens it.

No login/account. No third party ads SDKs. No data sale or sharing for cross context behavioral advertising.

3) Purposes & legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)

• Core functionality (show events, filters, deep links): Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) to provide and improve an app you choose to use. Processing occurs on device.
• Optional features (add to calendar, open in maps, sharing): Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) granted when you tap to use the feature or allow the OS permission. You may withdraw by declining/turning off the permission.
• Contractual necessity (if applicable): Where needed to deliver requested features you initiate (Art. 6(1)(b)).

4) Sources of data

Data comes directly from your device interactions within the App. We do not obtain data from third parties.

5) Retention

On device data (e.g., preferences) remains until you uninstall the App or clear its storage. We keep no server side copies because we do not collect your personal data on our servers.

6) Sharing & recipients

We do not disclose personal data to third parties. When you choose to open an address in Apple/Google Maps or save to your calendar, those external services process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

7) International transfers

Because we do not maintain server side personal data, we do not transfer such data internationally. If this changes, we will implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and update this Policy.

8) Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA/UK, you have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing). We aim to provide information in a concise, transparent, intelligible, and easily accessible form, using clear and plain language, consistent with GDPR transparency requirements.

9) California privacy notice (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted by law. California residents may request information about our data practices and, where applicable, exercise rights of access, deletion, and correction by emailing info.nightshiftapp@gmail.com.

10) Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, providing additional notice in the App.
